Australia super-lightweight Liam Paro has pulled out of his clash with Liverpool’s Robbie Davies Jr on March 11th.

Paro suffered a 3mm facial fracture in training and will no longer be able to compete in the bout which was scheduled for next month.

The pair were set to face-off on the undercard of Callum Smith versus Pawel Stepien at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena.

The winner was likely to be called as WBO mandatory at 140lbs over the next eighteen months given Paro’s number two ranking with the organisation.

It is not yet clear whether Davies Jr will still fight on the card.

Little Lever’s Jack Cullen is now likely to fill the chief support slot as he takes on undefeated American prospect Diego Pacheco at super-middleweight.
