Errol Johnson’s Black Country Boxing travels to Dudley Town Hall on Friday evening as Ijaz Ahmed (10-2-2, 1KO) and Marcel Braithwaite (14-3-0) clash for the vacant British super-flyweight title.

The winner will become the first British champion at 115lbs since Sunny Edwards defended the belt against Braithwaite in 2019.

Ahmed, from Birmingham, has also twice fought for the belt in two split-decision draws against domestic rival Quiase Khademi.

The pair have remarkably fought on three separate occasions, with Ahmed winning the other bout in 2021.

Liverpool’s Braithwaite overcame Thomas Essomba across twelve hard-fought rounds four months ago.

The vacant Midlands Area super-featherweight title will also be on the line when Worcester’s Ameen Khalid (4-0-0, 1KO) takes on Nottingham’s Joe Underwood Hughes (8-1-0, 1KO).

Both men will be challenging for their first major title since turning pro.

Hereford super-welterweight Liam Gould (2-0-0) also features, while both Dudley’s Ryan Griffiths (lightweight) and Droitwich’s Zach Evans (welterweight) both make their pro debuts.
