Cecilia Braekhus has pulled out from her scheduled class with WBA super-welterweight champion Terri Harper.

The fight was set to feature on the undercard of Chantelle Cameron vs Katie Taylor at Dublin’s 3Arena.

Matchroom have confirmed that Harper will now defend her title on the undercard of Mauricio Lara vs Leigh Wood in Manchester next week.

Norway’s Braekhus confirmed her withdrawal earlier this morning in a video posted to social media.

Braekhus said: “I’ve just woke up this morning with the flu. Headache, fever, ear, nose, throat – the whole thing.

“I felt great yesterday at the weigh-in. [I’m] just heartbroken, gutted for Terri of course. Sorry to all my fans. I still want to thank Matchroom and Terri of course for giving me this chance to fight her.

“I hope we can come back and do this real soon.”

Harper was set to make the first defence of her title against the former undisputed welterweight champion Braekhus in the Irish capital.

Cameron looks to defend her undisputed super-lightweight crown against Irish hero Taylor in the main event.
