Liam Smith‘s rematch with Chris Eubank Jnr has reportedly been postponed after Smith suffered an injury in training, according to ESPN’s Mike Coppinger.
The fight, which was set to take place at Manchester’s AO Arena on June 17th, is only expected to be delayed “by a couple of weeks”.
Smith raised eyebrows with a brutal fourth-round stoppage of Eubank Jnr in January to hand him his first loss inside the distance.
Eubank Jnr activated a rematch clause in February to seal a second fight with the Liverpudlian.
Rumours later suggested that Eubank was however set to face Conor Benn in the summer before the Smith fight was confirmed last month.
The fight will be shown live on Sky Sports Box Office.
