Mark Jeffers has now stepped in to face Zak Chelli in Manchester on July 1st after the injured Mark Heffron withdrew.
Chelli was initially set to face Heffron in Manchester as mandatory challenge for the latter’s British super-middleweight title.
Chorley’s Jeffers, who is undefeated in 15 pro fights, was confirmed as replacement by BOXXER earlier today.
The 25 year old claimed the Central Area super-middleweight belt in January 2020 and endured the ten-round distance for the first time the following year.
Chelli meanwhile heads into the bout riding the crest of a wave having won his last six fights, three of which ended inside the distance.
His best victory yet came in February when he dominated America’s Anthony Sims Jr over ten rounds at Wembley Arena.
The card in Manchester is headlined by undisputed super-middleweight champion Franchon Crews-Dezurn‘s defence versus Savannah Marshall.
