Rochdale super-bantamweight Shabaz Masoud (11-0, 4KOs) has signed a long-term promotional deal with Matchroom Boxing and DAZN.
The new signing was confirmed via Matchroom’s social media channels earlier today.
Masoud is undefeated in eleven pro contests and picked up the best win of his career so far with a twelfth-round stoppage against Jack Bateson in November.
The 27 year old responded to the announcement via Twitter, writing: “Thank you @EddieHearn time to win some world titles.”
Promoter Eddie Hearn also provided reaction via social media, describing Masoud as “a world champion in waiting.”
Masoud is trained by Ben Davison and shares a stable with the likes of world featherweight champion Leigh Wood and Olympic silver medalist Pat McCormack.
