Scottish bantamweight Lee McGregor has penned a long-term promotional deal with Wasserman Boxing and the Sauerland Brothers.

Boxing News first reported the deal as McGregor, the former British, Commonwealth and European bantamweight champion, looks to replicate his success at the weight above.

The 26 year old expressed his delight at the new deal, saying: “I’m gonna take over. I’m back to where I belong. Big nights, big fights and I want to get more titles.”

McGregor’s record currently stands at 12-0-1(9KOs) but the Scot only fought once last year, drawing against Argentina’s Diego Alberto Ruiz over ten rounds.

Remaining active will be high on McGregor’s list of priorities and his first fight under the Wasserman banner sees him return to his hometown Edinburgh on July 1st, live on Channel 5.

The opponent is yet to be confirmed at the time of writing.
