Katie Taylor has chosen to activate her rematch clause for a return against Chantelle Cameron, says promoter Eddie Hearn.
Speaking to Matchroom Boxing‘s YouTube channel, Hearn confirmed the fight is being targeted for November.
Northampton’s Cameron secured the best victory of her career so far in May, defeating Taylor in her own backyard at Dublin’s 3Arena by majority-decision.
The victory was Cameron’s first defence of her undisputed super-lightweight titles and expressed her desire to fight for Taylor’s undisputed lightweight crown at 135lbs.
“It’ll be a huge fight. Katie…there was no talking her into any other fight, it’s all she wanted”, Hearn said.
The first fight was initially being targeted for the historic Croke Park in Dublin which has a capacity of over 82,000 but complications forced the bout to be held at the 3Arena.
Hearn has previously stated they would look at Taylor fighting at Croke Park for later in the year.
