|Liverpool Heavyweight David Price|
Heavyweight prospect David Price will spend two weeks of intensive training in Los Angeles with legendary trainer Tommy Brooks.
Fellow Olympic bronze medallist Tony Jeffries is already being looked after by Brooks and now Price and trainer Frannie Smith will join the gym for a fortnight in early November.
Promoter Frank Maloney is looking to step Price up in class next year, and the likeable Liverpudlian made it eight wins from as many outings at the weekend when he became the first man to stop rugged journeyman Raman Sukhaterin.
“It will be beneficial to David, and although all the training will be under Frannie, Tommy will be on hand to give technical advice,” said Maloney.
“When I signed David, I tipped him to become world heavyweight champion and after the performance against Sukhaterin I am even more convinced.
“I look at David’s physical advantages and I see a fighter who is Britain’s answer to the Klitschko brothers.
“He is going to be so hard to beat when he becomes a professional champion.”.
