Lennox Lewis believes Tyson Fury would beat fellow Briton Anthony Joshua if they were to fight.

The British former world heavyweight champion believes Fury – who took the WBA and WBO heavyweight titles from Ukraine’s Vladimir Klistchko in November – is “the number one ”, but Joshua, who holds the IBF title, is not far away.

“I think Tyson Fury would win at the moment, maybe Anthony Joshua needs a few more fights before making that step,” Lewis told BBC boxing correspondent Mike Costello.

“Tyson Fury is the number one right now because he’s beat the man, that beat the man, that beat the man.”
