WBO world lightweight champion Terry ‘Turbo’ Flanagan (32-0, 13KOs) will make the 5th defence of his strap when he takes on the highly ranked dangerous challenge of Spanish based Russian Petr Petrov (38-4-2, 19KOs) at the Manchester Arena on April 8th.
Flanagan, 27, faces a dangerous opponent in the highly ranked Petrov and will need to be on top of his game to retain. If it was down to ‘Turbo’ he would be facing one of the other lightweight world champions in a unification scrap, but it seems the very big fights so far are eluding him.
In this video Flanagan is joined by our resident fight pundit, Merseyside’s favourite boxing aficionado Tommy Dix who breaks down Terry’s strengths and gives his straight talking angle on why Terry hasn’t got the fights against the big names yet. – Interview by British Boxers Aky Karim.
