The British Middleweight Champion Liam Williams has inked a new long term extension with Frank Warren and Queensberry Promotions.

Prior to the lockdown, the Welshman enjoyed a stellar run of form, earning six consecutive stoppage victories, winning a host of belts and surging up the rankings.

Announcing the news, Promoter Warren emphasised he is ‘absolutely convinced he will become world middleweight champion very soon’.

Speaking to BBTV recently, Williams revealed the path he is eyeing to title glory, stating: “I’m open to whatever route comes my way really, I reckon I could beat any of them right now. I’m mandatory for the WBO at the moment, which is Demetrius Andrade, so that’s where I’m aiming to go.

“But, if another fight came up I’d be more than happy to take it. Charlo, Golovkin any of them I’d love any of them fights, they’re all big names and high-level fights, so whichever one comes first I’ll be there to take it.”

On a potential domestic clash with Chris Eubank Jr, he went onto add: “I’d probably give up my mandatory spot to bash Eubank up.”

Williams’ last outing came at the end of last year, as he dispatched off Alantez Fox in vicious fashion, in the fifth round of their contest for the WBO intercontinental title.
