BOXXER and Sky Sports announced on Friday that world-title challenger Jack Catterall has penned a multi-fight deal as a rematch with Josh Taylor grows ever closer.
Many felt the Chorley man deserved the nod against Taylor back in February and the pair have both expressed a desire to run it back in search of a definitive outcome in the Catterall-Taylor saga. BOXXER’s Ben Shalom was highly critical of the decision in Glasgow in the immediate aftermath of the bout and has consistently emphasised his will to make the rematch sooner rather than later.
Taylor has vacated both the WBC and WBA versions of the world lightweight championship since the first fight and will no doubt be determined to put an end to all of the talk and prove his pound-for-pound ability once again.
