BOXXER and Sky Sports announced the full undercard for the highly-anticipated showdown between Savannah Marshall and Claressa Shields on September 10th.

In a fight which is buoyed by over a decade of history which dates back to Marshall’s 2012 victory over the American in the amateur ranks, the bitter grudge between the pair will finally be settled to crown the number one fighter in the middleweight division. Neither have been beaten in the professional ranks, with Marshall punching through Hannah Rankin to pickup the vacant WBO title in 2020, while America’s Shields has won world titles in three separate weight divisions and also boasts two Olympic gold medals.

Another high-tempered clash is scheduled for the chief support at the O2 Arena between super-featherweight champions Mikaela Mayer and Alycia Baumgardner. The Rio 2016 Olympian Mayer holds two sanctioning body titles she picked up in wins over Ewa Brodnicka and Maiva Hamadouche respectively, while the hard-hitting Baumgardner snatched Terri Harper‘s WBC crown with a startling second-round stoppage last year. The pair have engaged in regular back-and-forths on social media since and have both vowed to silence the other to become the poster girl at 130-pounds.

The Olympic pedigree continues throughout the undercard, which features three of Team GB’s bright sparks from Tokyo 2020, including middleweight gold medallist Lauren Price who made her professional debut at 147-pounds in June. Price, who has also had success in both football and kickboxing, had a glittering amateur career which culminated in the gold medal last summer and will be hopeful of similar achievements in the professional ranks, facing-off versus Timea Belik on September 10th. Karriss Artingstall, who picked up bronze at featherweight in Tokyo, also makes her second pro appearance on the card following a victorious debut two months ago, taking on Marina Sakharov of France respectively. Caroline Dubois completes the Tokyo 2020 hat-trick and looks to secure her third stoppage in four outings in a six-round lightweight bout against Milena Koleva.

Further down the card, Ebonie Jones faces Vanesa Caballero in a six-round featherweight contest in her fourth professional fight, while Virginia Fuchs takes on Gemma Ruegg at flyweight. April Hunter is also set to appear at super-welterweight against Erica Alvarez, and Shannon Ryan makes her second appearance versus Buchra El Quaissi. Georgia O’Connor is also scheduled to appear at 154-pounds, with no opponent confirmed at the time of writing.
