Matchroom Boxing have announced that Catford’s Ellie Scotney will face IBF super-bantamweight champion Cherneka Johnson in Dublin on May 20th.
The fight will take place on the undercard of Katie Taylor vs Chantelle Cameron at the 3Arena, live on DAZN.
Scotney was announced as mandatory challenger for the New Zealander in November.
Johnson claimed the vacant belt with a majority decision win over Melissa Esquivel in April last year.
The 28 year old made her first defence versus Susie Ramadan six months later in Melbourne, Australia and now faces mandatory challenger Scotney.
The Brit defeated Mary Romero for the European title at super-bantamweight in October.
Scotney enjoyed a successful amateur career, becoming ABA champion in 2017 and also competed at the World Championships a year later.
The 25 year old opted to turn professional in October 2020 and has won all six of her pro bouts since, including victories over former world champions Jorgelina Guanini and Maria Roman.
Elsewhere on the card, Doncaster’s Terri Harper looks for the first defence of her WBA super-welterweight title against former welterweight ruler Cecilia Braekhus.
Ireland’s Dennis Hogan also takes on Liverpool’s JJ Metcalf at 154lbs.
The main event sees Taylor bid to become undisputed champion in a second weight division as she takes on Northampton’s Cameron.
The latter tied all four belts together at 140lbs with an impressive victory over Jessica McCaskill in November.
Taylor, who already reigns as undisputed down at lightweight, previously held the WBO belt at 140lbs.
The fight marks Taylor’s first fight in her native Ireland as a professional.
