Matchroom Boxing have confirmed the full undercard for Anthony Joshua‘s comeback fight against Jermaine Franklin on April 1st.
The bout at London’s O2 Arena will mark Joshua’s first since his split-decision defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia in August.
The card sees middleweight Felix Cash (16-0-0, 10KOs) take on Italy’s Matteo Signani (32-6-3, 12KOs) for the latter’s European title.
Signani claimed the vacant belt in 2019 with a split-decision win over Armenia’s Gevorg Khatchikian.
The Italian briefly surrendered the belt with a technical decision loss to France’s Anderson Prestot but Signani reclaimed his title with a seventh-round stoppage win in the rematch in November.
Cash meanwhile marked his return to the ring after a ten month absence with a hard fought eight round victory in December.
The 29 year old suffered a cut in the process but now looks to add the European belt to the British and Commonwealth titles he previously held at 160lbs.
Austin ‘Ammo’ Williams (13-0-0, 9KOs), who is touted to face Cash later in the year, also returns to British shores for his third UK fight against former Midlands Area champion River Wilson-Bent (14-2-1, 6KOs).
Williams clashed with Cash following the latter’s victory in Leeds at the end of last year with the pair set to trade blows later in 2023.
Ipswich heavyweight Fabio Wardley (15-0-0, 14KOs) also collides with New York’s Michael Coffie (13-3-0, 10KOs) over ten rounds, while Campbell Hatton (10-0-0, 3KOs) faces Louis Fielding (10-7-0, 1KO) over eight rounds at lightweight.
Light-heavyweight John Hedges (7-0-0, 2KOs) also returns over eight rounds against Daniel Bocianski (11-2-0, 2KOs).
Saudi Arabian super-lightweight Ziyad Almaayouf (2-0-0, 1KOs) also makes his UK debut, alongside German heavyweight Peter Karidu (14-1-0, 7KOs) and Albanian cruiserweight Juergen Uldedaj (15-0-0, 6KOs).
