DEGALE ON A POTENTIAL FROCH FIGHT
“I’m in boxing for the big fights, I love the big shows” added DeGale who hopes to now be involved in some massive fights and there are many options to pursue in a division full of talent, especially domestically and the two names that are standing out, are Carl Froch and a rematch with George Groves.
“I want to be a world champion by the end of this year and, in order to do that, I have to keep busy. I will fight anyone.
“And, believe me, that means a big domestic dust-up with the likes of Carl Froch or George Groves.” added DeGale.
While a fight with super-middleweight world champion Froch is unlikely to happen anytime soon it is a future possibility and ‘Chunky’ is confident he can take the Nottingham ‘Cobra’
“Carl Froch is a fantastic fighter.” said DeGale. “But everyone is making him out to be like The Terminator, who can’t be beaten! But he has lost before and I think I’m all wrong for him.”
