A former two time Junior ABA Champion, Four Nations Gold Medalist, Multi Nations Silver Medalist and Senior ABA Finalist, Rocky Fielding burst onto the professional circuit when after only three fights he entered the super-middleweight Prizefighter Tournament in 2011 and went on to win the trophy, stopping Tobias Webb in the final. Since then Fielding has gone about learning his trade while picking up the English title by stopping Carl Dilks (TKO5) in 2012. Last year Fielding had 5 fights, he defended the English belt and also added the Commonwealth title and finished the year with a dominant defence against Luke Blackledge (TKO1) In the fight Fielding shown again that he has a real instinct for finishing a fight when he gets his opponent in trouble. The Liverpool fighter carries an hefty dig and is on the verge of a shot at the British title, which is held currently by fellow Scouser Paul Smith. Fielding first though will face former British champion and another Liverpool man in Tony Dodson in his next fight in March, a good match up for Fielding and one that he can take a lot from. For Dodson this could be his last crack at a title and in a derby fight in front of the Liverpool faithful, Dodson could be dangerous for the first few rounds but Fielding should pick up his 18th pro win and in a division packed with talent finds himself in a very nice position and all the signs are looking very positive, a bright future lies ahead for Rocky.
